CONSEQ Terms of Service
These terms cover the CONSEQ app and Community. By using them, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Using CONSEQ
You must be at least 18. The App Store app is licensed under Apple’s standard licence agreement unless the App Store listing specifies another licence. These terms govern your use of CONSEQ’s services. Do not use it unlawfully, compromise its security, infringe others' rights or interfere with the service. The software and branding remain ours.
CONSEQ provides habit-support tools, progress records, breathing activities and voluntary phone restrictions. It is not medical care, therapy, diagnosis or a substitute for professional advice. Onboarding scores and projected dates are motivational estimates, not clinical assessments or guarantees. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Subscriptions
The purchase screen shows the available plan, price, billing period and any eligible trial or offer before you confirm. Apple processes payment and determines trial eligibility. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period or trial ends. A trial converts to the paid subscription shown at purchase unless cancelled in time.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store settings, use Restore to recover eligible purchases, and request refunds through Apple. Deleting the app or erasing data does not cancel a subscription. Notifications are a convenience; delivery is not guaranteed and you remain responsible for managing renewal. Price and subscription changes follow Apple's rules and applicable law.
Blocking and alarms
Blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time permission and system behaviour. You can select apps, daily limits and blocked hours, and optional website or deletion protection. App-deletion protection applies across the device, not only to CONSEQ. Disable it in Protection, revoke Screen Time access in iOS Settings, or erase CONSEQ data before trying to delete the app.
Distract Me can play a repeating sound during an object task. With your permission and the relevant setting enabled, a Backup alarm can sound after you leave an unfinished task. Alarm availability depends on iOS and system settings. Phone restrictions and alarms are tools you control; they cannot prevent every bypass or guarantee any outcome. Do not rely on CONSEQ as your only safeguard or as a safety-critical alarm.
Community rules
Community is for adults aged 18 and older and requires a separate guest identity and agreement to these Terms of Service and the Community rules before joining. CONSEQ has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Your username, profile picture, posts and replies are visible to approved members. Keep discussion respectful and focused on recovery. Do not post pornography or erotic material, hate or discrimination, harassment, threats, exploitation, unsafe advice, private contact information, spam, scams, prohibited links, impersonation or content you have no right to share. Honest, non-graphic discussion of recovery is welcome.
You remain responsible for what you publish, including your picture. You retain ownership of your content and give CONSEQ permission to store, process and display it to provide Community and handle moderation and deletion. This is not a licence to use your content in advertising.
We filter selected prohibited text. Masking does not permit rule violations. Report content through its menu, block abusive members, or contact conseqapp@gmail.com about a picture or other concern. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours of receiving them. For confirmed objectionable content or abusive conduct, we remove the offending content and suspend or ban the responsible account within that same 24-hour period. Guest access is stored on your device; losing it may prevent recovery of the same identity.
Ending use and deleting data
You can stop using CONSEQ at any time. Profile's Erase everything and start over clears local recovery records and restrictions. If you joined Community, it requests deletion of that account and its saved content first; internet is required and failed requests can be retried or referred to support. Subscription and provider records are separate, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Cancel any subscription separately in App Store settings.
We may restrict Community access for rule violations, security or legal reasons, and may change or discontinue services. Your applicable consumer rights remain intact.
Availability and liability
To the extent permitted by law, CONSEQ is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free blocking or alarms, or a particular recovery outcome. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Where a lawful liability limit applies, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the preceding 12 months. Nothing excludes liability for fraud or limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be limited.
Apple
Apple handles App Store purchases and app licensing. CONSEQ provides the app’s services and support. These service terms do not replace Apple’s standard app licence or your applicable consumer rights.
Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and New Jersey, with disputes in New Jersey courts, except where mandatory local consumer laws or jurisdiction rights apply. We update the date and give notice of material changes. Questions or safety concerns: conseqapp@gmail.com.
